CCPUBLIC ASSOCIATION of LIBRARY SUPPORTERS (PALS)

 

Since its origination in 1982, the Public Association of Library Supporters continues to support and promote the Durham Public Library, by means of advocacy, volunteer services and fundraising. PALS meets on the thirdWednesday of each month and welcomes new members.

  
   
   
   
   
   
   
 

CCBOARD of TRUSTEES

  Under section 6-17 of the town charter, the board has the responsibility for providing library services, library personnel, setting hours of operation, and maintaining the buildings and grounds. The Board also has the responsibility of acting as trustees and administering the endowment funds established for the library. Nine board members are appointed annually at the Durham Town Meeting and serve for a period of three years.
